It only took Kurt 6 years to go from Dwarf Car rookie of the year to competitive with the big dogs of Nascar. This caused a build up of tension when Roush invited him to race in the Winston Cup Series while bypassing his more grand teammate, Greg Biffle. He was named Truck Rookie of the Year the same year after his four wins and finishing in the top 20 in a petite Cup Schedule. With all those claims to victory under his belt, Roush placed Busch to Nascar's top series full time in 2001. The year after that, he won his first Cup race at Bristol and won three more races that season. Fast-forwarding a join of years later, Kurt won the Nascar's inaugural Chase for the Nextel Cup.

In 2002, Busch garnered more concentration on the Winston Cup Series and ended the season exceedingly well with winning three out of final five races, finishing third and sixth. 2003 called for concentration too but not all good publicity. Kurt and driver, Jimmy Spencer, had a rough patch after a social throw down which caused both drivers to be fined and placed on probation for the rest of the year. The action caused a lot of damage to Busch's prestige and he was losing fans as a follow of the fight.

Kurt believes that's why the brother's relationship is strong and it gets stronger by the day.

He founded the foundation to make a variation for people and programs in need. The foundation is currently in the works of construction up a factory in investment with Victory Junction Gang Camp.
